PRESS RELEASE

The extension of the Wurtemberg Footbridge has been open to the public since 23 April 2026, improving pedestrian access between Salines Car Park and Fontvieille district.

From the exit of the Salines Gallery, this new footbridge now provides direct access to two lifts and a staircase, newly constructed as part of the project. At this stage, these facilities only serve Wurtemberg Square (level PW as indicated in the lifts).

By the end of May 2026, they will provide a direct connection to Avenue de Fontvieille (level AF). By doubling the number of lifts available between Fontvieille district, the square and Wurtemberg Footbridge (level PS), this new amenity will progressively improve the flow, speed and comfort of pedestrian routes between the Salines Car Park and the Fontvieille district.

The commissioning of this extension also makes it possible to dismantle the temporary staircase installed at Place Wurtemberg, thereby allowing the continuation of development works in this area.
