What are the traffic and parking arrangements during the Monaco Historic Grand Prix?

To mark the 15th Monaco Historic Grand Prix, taking place from 24 to 26 April, a number of adjustments to road traffic, maritime traffic and pedestrian access will be implemented. Please refer to the details below in order to plan your travel accordingly.

Parking and traffic (vehicles and pedestrians) will be prohibited in the following areas

Quai des Etats-Unis
Route de la Piscine
Jules Soccal jetty
Darse Sud (South Dock Basin)

At the following dates and times:

Friday 24 April: from 9.30 am until the end of the races
Saturday 25 April: from 6.15 am until the end of the races
Sunday 26 April: from 6.00 am until the end of the races

Vehicle traffic restrictions

From Friday 24 April at 7.00 am to Sunday 26 April at 11.59 pm:

Traffic will be prohibited between Avenue des Papalins and Avenue Albert II
Traffic will be prohibited on Avenue des Papalins between Nos. 13 and 39

The following roads will be closed to traffic: Friday 24 April, from 9.30 am until the end of the races; Saturday 25 April from 6.15 am until the end of the races; and Sunday 26 April from 6.00 am until the end of the races:

For vehicles holding a pass, or vehicles used by the organising committee or by the emergency and police services, and authorised to travel through the tunnels, the one-way traffic system will be suspended during the days and times indicated at the beginning of this notice.

One-way traffic will be reversed on the following roads:

Rue Princesse Florestine, in the section between Rue Suffren Reymond and Rue Grimaldi
Rue de Millo, in the section between Rue Saige and Rue Terrazzani
Avenue du Port, from the start of Avenue de la Quarantaine to the Place d’Armes roundabout
Rue Suffren Reymond, in the section between Rue Louis Notari and Rue Princesse Florestine
Rue Saige
Rue Terrazzani

Two-way traffic will be introduced on the following roads:

Rue Grimaldi, in the section between Rue Suffren Reymond and Place d’Armes
Rue Notari, in the section between Rue Suffren Reymond and Rue Princesse Antoinette

La Condamine sector, from Wednesday 22 April at 7.00 am to Sunday 26 April at 9.00 pm, parking will be prohibited on:

Monte-Carlo sector, from Thursday 23 April at 6.00 am to Sunday 26 April at 11.59 pm, parking will be prohibited on:

Boulevard de Suisse, in the section between Avenue de la Costa and Avenue de Roqueville

In addition, from Thursday 23 April at 12.00 pm to Sunday 26 April at 10.00 pm, parking will be prohibited on:

Boulevard des Moulins, on the downhill side in front of No. 6

Finally, on Sunday 26 April from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, parking will be prohibited on:

Rue Louis Aureglia, all parking spaces in the section between Nos. 3 and 7

Pedestrian traffic restrictions

Pedestrian traffic will be prohibited, unless holding a ticket or pass issued by the Automobile Club de Monaco, in the following areas:

Quai Albert Ier
Costa staircase
Sainte-Dévote staircase
Avenue de la Costa, in the section between No. 3 and Avenue d’Ostende
Quai Antoine Ier
Avenue Princesse Grace, from Avenue des Spélugues to Boulevard Louis II
Boulevard du Larvotto, in the section between the roundabout leading to Avenue de Grande-Bretagne and Rue Louis Aureglia
Avenue de la Quarantaine

Persons not holding tickets issued by the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) are prohibited from sitting in the stands, remaining and/or circulating within the circuit perimeter:

On Friday 24 April, from 9:30 am until the end of the races
On Saturday 25 April, from 6:15 am until the end of the races
On Sunday 26 April, from 6:00 am until the end of the races

Some exceptions:
Access by pedestrians to the various enclosures bordering the circuit and the roads mentioned above is prohibited to any person not holding an admission ticket or pass for the entire duration of the 15th Monaco Historic Grand Prix.

Access to buildings located along roads closed to traffic or within the circuit perimeter is authorised exclusively for:

Residents of those buildings, upon presentation of an identity document
Persons working in those buildings, upon presentation of their work permit
Holders of passes issued by the ACM or by the Police

The traffic restrictions detailed above do not apply to police and emergency vehicles, nor to vehicles required for the various operations scheduled by the organiser, for obvious reasons of safety and continuity of service.
